Spammers Love Comcast

As per Comcast engineer network engineer Sean Lutner, (see http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1107_2-5218720.html), Comcast users send 800,000,000 e-mail messages a day, of which 700,000,000 seem to be generated by bots, “a breathtaking figure that adds up to six or seven spam-o-grams for each American family every day.”

The good news for some families is that I, along with many others who have had email addresses on web sites dating back to the mid-90’s, get a few hundred a day, so they won’t get many.
I suspect that "heavy spam recipients" like myself account for a vastly disproportionate amount of the spam being sent.
But, I guess we’re doing our part for the economy since the email collectors get paid by the spam companies which get paid by the people selling stuff, and then we turn around and pay the people who make spam filtering software 😉
