I’ve been quiet here for a while. No posts or updates, and here’s why.
One of the most beloved Adobe benefits is the sabbatical, paid time off every 5 years to disconnect, unwind, and refresh. I like to use my sabbaticals to learn something new, committing time and energy to a skill or interest that I usually can’t pursue.
This time I did something I’ve wanted to do for years, taking art lessons. I’ve always enjoyed doodling and sketching but have never had the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and develop real skills. So, for the past 6 weeks I’ve been doing just that, digging into shapes and forms, value and contrasts, light and shadows, still lifes, hand studies, and a whole lot more.
Here are two pieces I worked on.
And with that, tomorrow it’s back to work.
