Chanukah (or Hanukkah using the Anglicized spelling) is a fun and joyous holiday, and for years now my kids and I have been creating ever more festive displays. Inflatables and purchased strings of lights have long been replaced with elaborate custom creations. This year we created the 3rd version of our giant LED Chanukah display, as seen in this video.
This project really is a family affair. While I do most of the coding, the boys to everything from planning to research to design to metal work to soldering to animation timings and a whole lot more. They love it, they’ve learned tons, it’s great family time, and the neighborhood eagerly awaits the enhancements each year.
