Bluetooth Spam?

Home » Bluetooth Spam?

The BBC is reporting a new trend, “bluejacking”, or sending anonymous messages to Bluetooth devices. I am not sure if this is really funny or really silly or really sad (or some combination of the above), you decide. Story is at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3237755.stm.

Tis a classic, to see the look on somebody face, the first time you do it. Especially if your somewhere that a signal wouldn’t normally be. Like the London Underground.

We provide servers to do bluetooth location based advertising.
Obviously they need to be used carefully, but when this is done we believe that location based advertising like this can be very powerful.
