You may create any number of probes in ColdFusion Enterprise (both Default Probes and Custom Probes), and when a probe fails you can execute a script – allowing you to send e-mail notification of the failure. But there is a simpler (and safer) way to do this. Simply go to the ColdFusion Administrator’s Alarm Email Notification page (under the Tools tab, System Monitoring) and specify one or more e-mail addresses (separated by commas) in the Probe Failure field. Then, when a probe fails, notification will be sent automatically to the specified addresses. (Applies to: ColdFusion 5 Enterprise)
