Total Training has released an 8 hour DVD Flex 2 training course hosted by our very own James Talbot (author of the soon-to-be-released "Adobe Flex 2: Training from the Source"). If you are looking for a way to quickly get up and running with Flex 2, this could be the best $150 you'll spend.

Niiice. I think this might be the turning point for me finally getting into Flex 2.0 :) Thanks.

Actually, it's the best $120 you can spend. Marco Casario published an open 20% discount on this title that runs through the end of August:

I wouldn't mind seeing a couple links to some articles/blogs as to why the Flex2.0 is so great that I would want to buy the DVD. I am not saying it is not great, I have heard some good things, I would like to see some articles to get me excited!

Are there any instructions on using CF with Flex on that DVD? Since I'll be using Flex with CF, will this DVD lack some relevance if it does not contain information on using CF with Flex? TIA.

There is another option - lynda.com has online training for Flex 2 (as well as every other software title imaginable) and you can get a monthly subscription for all of this content for only $20 (or something like that). It is a MUCH better value than Total Training's DVDs.

Looking forward to your review!

Well, I ordered the CD and it will be here this afternoon. I will be watching it this week and will get back to you on a review of it. Please note this is coming from a guy with little to no flex experience so we will see how well it can train me in the short amount of time ;). I will say I am looking forward to getting started with it.

I don't believe so (re: struts), but when I went thru it I was not looking for that so I may have missed it.
I would love to see a 2nd TT DVD dedicated exclusively to CF Flex Integration.

will the dvd talk about integrated flex into a struts enviroment?
