RIM CEO: Device Users Want Flash

Home » RIM CEO: Device Users Want Flash

While I am not sure I agree with everything reported to have been said by RIM CEO Jim Balsillie at the Web 2.0 Summit (I personally like the “appification of the Web”), his comments about giving developers options and users what they want is spot on.

"So you reject the appification of the Web?" asked Summit host John Battelle. "Correct," Balsillie said, challenging Apple’s "there’s an app for that" slogan for its iPhone App Store, which has more than 300,000 applications.
Very interesting. I wonder why they are giving away free playbook’s to any developer that gets an app in by launch? http://devblog.blackberry.com/2010/10/blackberry-playbook-developer-promotion-information/ APple doesn’t need to give away free iPads to get developers to write apps for them. Do you read the articles before posting? I am beginning to think forta.com has jumped the shark…long live Gruber.

And you apparently don’t read what you comment on. I said that I *do* like apps, I think RIM is wrong on that one. But, I do agree with his comments about giving developers and users freedom and choices. Stop being so defensive.

Giveitup, you obviously do not agree with anything Ben says, so why do you bother to read his blog?
