Tampa Usergroup Session A Success

This evening I presented a sneak peak at the next ColdFusion to a joint session of the Tampa Flash, Flex and AIR Developers Group and the Tampa ColdFusion User Group. The really cool thing about this event was that 2/3 of the audience were not ColdFusion users, and several commented that now they needed to take a look at ColdFusion. Kevin Hoyt presented an overview of building AIR apps using HTML and web technologies, and then did an incredible presentation on how to make Flash interact and communicate with hardware devices (including a wii controller).

    Ben,
I was there, and your presentation was excellent. I’ve only been in Tampa for 4 years, and this was the 1st CFUG I’ve attended since moving here. In fact, I believe the last time I saw you present at a CFUG was @ Figleaf Software in DC back in 1999 or 2000 when I lived in Bethesda, MD. I recall those meetings regularly having 125+ people at them right in the middle of the work day!
Hope to see you back again soon.
