Now that is a strange project name. If the project is symbolic we would consider that this creature would have 2 sets of lungs, 2 hearts, 2 stomachs… it’s like one creature tied into another. Let’s hope this means Flex and AIR compilers are getting integrated into the next version of ColdFusion!
(Or Ben, is that because it can do CFScript and Tags?)

Ben, you carefully refer to it as "the next major version", and perhaps you’ll say no more. 🙂 But others are concluding that this is a codename for CF9. Since we had codenames for 6.1 and even 7.01 and 7.02, folks may want to reconsider what it’s a code name for. Is anyone from Adobe interested in clarifying? 🙂
how would one go about being placed on a list for a beta?
even if it is a bit of time before one would be available.

Charlie, I can’t answer that, but suffice it to say that there are no current plans for an update, so …
Paul, there is no list yet, and it’ll be a while yet.

lol at ‘let slip’. So will the link to Centaur show up on Adobe labs this week or next week?
Ben, small question.. a bit off topic. But, I remember seeing a slide somewhere at MAX 2007 (Chicago) where with CF8 and CFForms, there was a function that tested for a form that was re-submitted by accident (or prevented re-submissions). Was I dreaming on this? I can’t seem to find anything on it.
-thanks!!
Amy, I wonder if you’re referring to the feature (new in CF7, not 8) of CFINPUT, where you can use Validate="SubmitOnce" when the type="submit" (or type="image"). It does indeed prevent the user from submitting the same form multiple times.
any new beta sign up info?
still dont see any thing on the prerelease site
thanks!
