  1. 8 versions in 12 years, that’s prety good.
And CF8 is by far the best release ever.
I recently ran a survey on Australian ColdFusion Developers and 90% are on version 7.
75% of people plan on upgrading to CF8, 22% unsure at this stage and only 2% said no, I think those numbers are very good considering it’s not even released. It shows that Adobe and the team have already done a good job of communicating the new features.
Looking forward to the next 12 years.

  2. Happy Birthday Coldfusion! it’s been 2 years association with the product it feels fabulous to me as I see the way it has grown in these 12 years.

  3. Hard to believe it’s been twelve years! I have the original CF product (spiral bound manual and 3.5" floppy disks) on my bookshelf. I have built my online programming career on this product and have used it almost exclusively that whole time!

  4. Kevin, nope. we celebrated the 10th birthday on July 13th as that was the only date to get everyone together in Newton. But, as per JJ Allaire, the official birthday is July 10th as that is the day (back in 1995) Cold Fusion 1 was released.
