I presented CF/Flex and Scorpio sneaks to the Toronto CFUG earlier this week. At the event, Oliver Merk announced the formation of a new Toronto Flex User Group, and the inaugural meting is set for January 23rd, 2007. This is great news for the Toronto community!

Unfortunately it’s not really in Toronto. It’s in Mississauga and it will be a herculean task for anyone working downtown to get out there for a 7:00pm meeting. If you drive you are stuck in rush hour traffic. If you take transit you have to cross into another city’s transit system…and knowing Mississauga isn’t a transit city I’m not even sure you could catch a bus there.
I’m glad they’ve started this group, but sad that it is very inaccessible to many people.

    Hi Allan,
Only the first meeting is scheduled in Mississauga, and in fact, may move depending on how many people pre-register. If you visit http://www.gotransit.com/ you should be able to find a bus from downtown that will get you there on time. As the group grows is it our intention to hold all meetings in the downtown core.
    Hope you can make it.
    Best regards,
    Oliver Merk
