The Adobe Developer Relations team has released a set of free and open ActionScript 3.0 APIs to help developers get started building Flex 2.0 applications. This include FlexUnit (a unit testing framework for Flex and ActionScript 3.0 applications), Flickr, Mappr (combines images from Flickr with geolocational information), RSS and Atom, Odeo (retrieve podcasts), and more. All can be downloaded from the ActionScript 3:resources:apis:libraries page on the Labs site.
For those interested, I created a quick "how-to" guide to set up FlexUnit with FlexBuilder 2: http://www.darronschall.com/weblog/archives/000216.cfm
I’ve got a sample app for the syndication library on my blog at:

The download URL for the zip file is:

Let me know any feedback you might have?
Thanks,
J
