Congrats Ben et al
well done Ben, i am looking forward to this edition, your knowledge has helped me learn coldfusion within four months and your books are like having a trainer at my desk.
Thank Ben
Congrats Ben, Ray, Leon and Angela!
Just ordered and expecting it to be better than the 3 editions I have purchased previously (or was it four ? :)).
I’ve been waiting for this! Just ordered, thanks Ben – your books are excellent!
Hi Mr Forta. Can you tell us what is the content in this book worth for the ones who have all the other editions? Thank you.
That is a hard question to answer. Readers who know CFMX6 very well and are already experimenting with CFMX7 will likely find that they are already familiar with much of the content. I’d definitely not recommend it for an experienced CFMX6 user who is already writing code for all of the new CFMX7 features. The intro material in the book did not change much, with the exception of using CFCs (introduced far earlier), a chapter on new forms features, and an intro to printing and reporting. The later chapter did change quite a bit, including coverage of Applciation.cfc (for example). As I said, without knowing exactly what you know and want it is hard to answer that.
When is it going to be released? The publication date is March 24, but it’s still not available.
Dennis, the books is out and shipping. Amazon once again looks the last to have it. Many readers have it already, and most seem to have ordered it from Peachpit directly.
After 1 week of waiting for Amazon to ship the book I canceled the order and placed a new order at Barnes & Noble – got it in 2 days, shipped to Ireland!!!
