The Differences Between CFMX7 Standard And Enterprise

The original feature matrix posted on the Macromedia ColdFusion page did not adequately explain the differences between ColdFusion MX 7 Standard and ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise. A new ColdFusion Feature Comparison Matrix is now online (with comparisons back to ColdFusion 5).

So how do you go about buying the upgrade from MX6.1 standard to MX7 enterprise; it does not seem to be available in the Macromedia online store.

Ben, could you explain what the difference between ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise and ColdFusion MX 7 Enterprise Government Edition is?
I must be missing something – as all I see that is different is that the Govt Editon includes a one year subscription and silver support for a whopping price tag of $14,995?

As per the product page, Government Edition includes:
    * One license of ColdFusion MX Enterprise 7.0 software for use on a computer with up to 2 CPUs
    * One ColdFusion MX Enterprise 7.0 12-month Subscription for use on a computer with up to 2 CPUs
    * Three copies of ColdFusion Markup Language (CFML) Reference, the tag-based scripting language in ColdFusion
    * Silver Level Support for ColdFusion MX Enterprise 7.0
    * One set of hardcopy manuals for ColdFusion MX Enterprise 7.0

Yeah, saw all that. It’s the whopping price tag of $14,995 that I’m trying to figure out.
