Douglas Adams Honored With An Asteroid

Douglas Adams
The late Douglas Adams, creator of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the one who taught us the significance of the number 42, and the man who introduced us all to all sorts of memorable characters (including Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Ford Prefect, Trillian, Slartibartfast, Protestnic Vogon Jeltz, and Almighty Bob), has now been fittingly immortalized in the heavens. The International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, MA announced the names of 71 newly named celestial objects, including Asteroid Douglasadams. Story on MSNBC.

I was soo dissapointed when I heard that Mos Def is going to play Ford Prefect, I don’t have a problem with Mos, but he just isn’t Ford.
