I just hope this doesn’t start another "Oh my god, Macromedia is recommending X, Y, and Z" type flame war. 😉

I looked up the word "guideline", so I am confused why anyone would have started a flame war over a recommendation… You said ‘another flame war’? 🙂

Trust me, I understand. I’m just commenting on the huge amount of email on cf-talk about this document. It was many months ago so maybe people have calmed down since then. Frankly I think people need to relax a little bit. 😉

I just think that it’s only fair that people know how they would be expected to code if they ever came to work on the Web Team 😉

Ray, which is why I said "ColdFusion MX Coding Guidelines used internally by the Macromedia’s Web Technology Group". There are not official CF team recommendations, or even MM ones for that matter. And if folks get upset, well … they should create and post their own alternative versions of the doc.

I may have been a bit unclear. Let me restate. I have -0- issues with the guide. I was just commenting on how other people freaked out in the past. I think it is a great guide and I’m glad it is there for people to read.

Ray, we are all agreeing, I think. 😉
