GCN: Everything on City Of Davis Site Powered by ColdFusion

Government Computer News (GCN) is running a story about City of Davis, California, using ColdFusion. As per the story, ColdFusion has been used “for the past five years for its citizen-facing and intranet Web applications”. Over 25,000 pages, and “most of the stuff that’s displayed is database driven—from the main page, to job opportunity listings, to the city council’s agenda. All of those things have back-end interfaces where staff can upload things without having to know HTML.” Story at http://gcn.com/23_33/buyers_guide/27927-1.html.

Most of UC Davis (core campus and the Vet School) is CF as well, although we are looking at Sakai (www.sakaiproject.org) which is J2EE based.
