Half way through Day 1, grabbing a moment to post a quick entry.
Last night MAX invaded Bourbon Street. I’ll post pics shortly, um, maybe. 🙂
The general session this morning was a hit. Tim Buntel (formerly of “Good Morning Developer”) and I introduced ColdFusion Blackstone. Tim built an online voting application, ColdFusion generated Flash Forms. I then used to create a FlashPaper printable version of the ballot confirmation (and also demoed PDF generation, effortlessly creating a printable version of a page that IE was unable to print properly). Then I demoed the report writer in detail. And Tim wrapped with an SMS demo.
The crowd loved it. Lots of spontaneous applause, and a little prompted applause too. And then Tim announced that every attendee had a copy of Blackstone Beta 2 in their bags, and the crowd responded enthusiastically.
Oh, there was other stuff in the general session too. 🙂
I’ve go to run to make next session, more to follow.

Hmm, I guess you haven’t seen that photo on page A14 of today’s Times-Picayune, then? Gotta say, I was surprised myself, Ben…. 😉
