UpSNAP is a new search engine, find people or businesses, much like any other search engine. But what makes UpSNAP different is that it has a very sophisticated SMS interface. You are required to register your cell phone number on the web site before using the system, and upon registration you’ll receive an SMS message that you can reply to with searches to execute. Responses are sent via return SMS, complete with menus for drill-down allowing gradual data selection.
This is another example of the kind of application that Blackstone will allow you to build.
