GCN: SBA Launches ColdFusion Powered Loan Submission System

I mentioned this application in the MAX 2003 opening keynote, but this is the first reference to it that I have seen in print (or e-print). Government Computer News (GCN) is running a story on E-Tran, an application that will let the SBA (Small Business Administration) approve loan applications electronically, instead of via fax. Last year the agency approved more than 74,000 loans worth more than $16.9 billion, and E-Tran is expected to process more than 60,000 of those applications each year. Story at http://gcn.com/vol1_no1/daily-updates/25825-1.html.

Sudhaman, I do not believe that this uses Flex. Are you saying that it does?

I thought in your key note you mentioned this as another example of flex (in addition to IBM’s demo). If not, sorry, my memory failed me 🙁

Nope, I didn’t, and this app does not use Flex. Sorry.
