ComputerWorld Australia (http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php?id=1014291142&fp=16&fpid=0) is running a story on how a ColdFusion based open-source content management system is saving the Australian Film, Television and Radio School thousands of dollars. The CMS is FarCry created by our Australian friends at Daemon. Congrats to Geoff Bowers and crew and this well deserved publicity.

  1. I found it interesting that these people use MSSQL, IIS, and ColdFusion, but they went with an open source CMS. I understand the budget concerns, but if your willing to do open source, why not use an open source OS and Web server? You could still use CF on Linux and Apache…would save a lot of money! 😉
