For now you can get more info (and the product) from http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/. Oh, and as a maintenance releases, ColdFusion MX 6.1 is free to licensed ColdFusion MX users.

Not a comment, but a question – sorry, not sure where else to find an answer… Why "Red Sky"?
    TIA

Because some developer thought it was cool and got the most votes. 🙂 Code names are just that, place holders in lieu of a final name. Team members make suggestions and then the team votes. Don’t read too much into it. (Oh, and there have been much worse ones <g>).

You don’t have to tell us the products, but can you give us some of the bad ones that have been used 🙂

Well, there was the whole Matrix theme (Matrix, Trinity, Neo, Morpheus), way back when there were arcade games (Avenger, Defender, etc.), and someone in the early CF days wanted "scorched earth" (thankfully we did not use that one).
And it is not just us. Borland C++ 4 was codenamed "thong", as it had to fix just enough bugs to cover the engineers’ butts!
Lots of companies ahve used "phoenix" over the years for products that were killed off and then revived.
But my favorite of all time was in early NT days. Microsoft released a tool for migrating from Novell Netware to NT, the codename was "Visine" as in "it gets out the red". Classic!
