I am not a fan of applets (actually, I despise them), but I have found the one applet that almost justifies their creation. Anyone a former Infocom fan? How about a Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy fan? If you are both, you’ll love this one – Infocom’s Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (circa 1984) played online in its original text form at http://www.douglasadams.com/creations/infocomjava.html. Brings tears to the eyes!
Looks like some of you have forgotten how to get started, so (this will give away the first 10 points – read on at your own risk) here are the steps to get started. (The scary thing is that I still remember all this!)
Turn on light

Thanks for the link Ben. I really miss the infocom games. My favorites were always the Enchanter series.
MUDs copied from the old text based games, Amy. 🙂 Anyone here ever play A Mind Forever Voyaging? Infocom had -amazing- stories.
