The tag is used to provide access to the Windows registry. Prior to ColdFusion MX this tag was supported on Unix (and Linux) installations to provide access to a registry emulator (used by ColdFusion). As ColdFusion MX does not use the registry this tag has been deprecated on non-Windows platforms. (Applies to: ColdFusion MX)
