Check Out PolitiFact

No, I am not going to get into any presidential political discussions here. But, I mentioned PolitiFact to a few people lately who had never head of it, and so am sharing it here, too.

PolitiFact is a project of the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly to help you find the truth in the presidential campaign. Every day, reporters and researchers from the Times and CQ analyze the candidates' speeches, TV ads and interviews, and determine whether the claims are accurate or not using a Truth-O-Meter (which measures True, Mostly True, Half True, Mostly False, False, and Pants On Fire). Results are unbiased, non-partisan, succinct, informative, and fun, too!

Comments
FactCheck.org is another good one. That one is run by the Annenburg Project and also non-partisan. Many news organizations use it as a source.

Seems like something's wrong with the site. The site is showing up internal server error.

Thanks for this, Ben. I will also follow up on the req for factcheck.org. Not because Annenburg is associated with my employer or anything.

I don't believe for a second that PolitiFact is bipartisan. When I go to their site and the entire front page is nothing but attacks on McCain (most of which aren't even true), it's hard to believe it's anything more than another liberal hack site.

As a general rule I don't respond to comments posted by anonymous cowards. But, for your utterly moronic response I'll make an exception ...

Take a look at the very first page of all reviewed attacks:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/attacks/al...

There are 8 attacks targeting Obama that are reviewed, and 12 targeting McCain and Pailn. Other pages have different counts. And of course as more are added the balances might shift. But, bottom line, despite your inability to count to 12 unassisted, this does contradict with your pathetic whining.
